CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – A person was attacked and robbed at gunpoint Tuesday in Carbondale.
Carbondale Police say two people were walking in the 400 block of East College Street at about 8:30 p.m. when they were approached by three men wearing masks. At least two of the three also had handguns.
Police say the suspects physically attacked the victim and took his property before driving off in two separate vehicles.
The victim received injuries, but was not hospitalized. Police believe the victim and suspects are acquaintances.
