Carbondale City Council passed mask ordinance, vaccine requirement for employees

 

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — During a special meeting Monday night, the Carbondale City Council passed a pair of new ordinances related to COVID-19.

One requires masks to be worn at all businesses, restaurants, and public buildings. Failure to do so could result in a fine of up to $250.

Another requires all city employees to receive the first dose of the vaccine by October 15, barring any  medical and religious exemptions.
