Trailer Drops for Kesha’s New Documentary

Kesha is working with Apple Music on a new documentary called “Rainbow – The Film”, named after her studio album. Her album Rainbow focused on her healing process as well as her growing strength and resilience during her court battle with her previous producer Dr. Luke Gottwald. The documentary will debut exclusively on Apple Music and will give fans a peek into Kesha’s private life and follow her through her dark days.

According to Billboard, Kesha released a press statement with this announcement stating, “I hope this film inspires others to never give up even if you feel full of hurt or lost, because after the storm comes a rainbow. Depression, anxiety and mental illness are things we all need to talk about more, and there is no shame in asking for help. Making the decision to work on yourself is the bravest thing you can do. I hope this film helps bring light and love to everyone.”

Kesha also directed this documentary alongside her brother Lagen Serbert, who is a filmmaker and directed several of her music video. The two of them worked with Kevin Hayden as they filmed her private life on tour and in the recording studio with what news sources call, “a series of psychedelic vignettes.”

Knowing Kesha’s openness with her fans regarding her struggle and how she uses it as fuel for her success, it’s safe to say that we expect her documentary to be a hit, much like Lady Gaga’s “Five Foot Two” or Demi Lovato’s “Simply Complicated”.

“Rainbow – The Film” will be released on August 10, the same day her album dropped last year.
