After reaching viral success with “#Selfie” in 2014, The Chainsmokers are now household names at the time of their new EP: Sick Boy…Side Effects.

The Chainsmokers formed in 2012 with Alex Pall and DJ Rhett Baxler.  The duo re-formed in 2012, replacing Baxler with Andrew Taggart to create the EDM duo that we all know and love.

With more viral hits like “Kanye”, it wasn’t until the 2015 release of “Roses” where The Chainsmokers started to gain momentum.  They furthered their continuous rise with “Don’t Let Me Down” before finally reaching mainstream status with the Halsey collaboration: “Closer”.

The duo continued to rack up the hits and released their debut album: Memories…Do Not Open in 2017.

During the summer of 2018, Pall & Taggart changed the mode and tone of their music with the releases of “Sick Boy” & “Everybody Hates Me” with “Sick Boy” targeting some of sociopolitical issues in America.

With the release of “Side Effects” it seems that The Chainsmokers are back to their usual commercial hits and it seems that Pall & Taggart are here to stay.
