Marion woman facing charges after ramming squad cars, pulling fire alarm

MARION, Ill. (IRN) – A Marion woman is in jail after she intentionally crashed her car into several vehicles in the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office parking lot and then walked inside of the sheriff’s office building and pulled the fire alarm.

No one was hurt in the incident that began around 8:15 p.m. Saturday.

Security footage shows Leann Jackson enter the parking lot and rear-end one squad car.  She then walked inside the sheriff’s office and knocked on a reception area window.  When no responds, Jackson is seen walking across the lobby, activating the fire alarm, and then having a seat in a waiting area.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says five vehicles were damaged in the incident. Two belonged to law enforcement.

Leann Jackson faces charges of criminal damage to government supported property, disorderly conduct, and obstructing identification.
