Carbondale Police investigate numerous reports of tire damage

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – Carbondale Police say they’re conducting extra patrols in neighborhoods where a number of automobile tires have been slashed this month.

Since April 10, Carbondale Police say they’ve received 10 reports of damage to tires. The vehicles were parked on South Rawlings, West Mill, West Walnut, West Cherry, South James, and South Forest streets. All of the vandalism happened at night.

The Carbondale Police Department is asking the public for information about the incidents or possible video footage from Ring doorbell cameras or similar surveillance systems that may have captured the suspect(s). Anyone with information or video is asked to contact the police department at (618) 457-3200.
