CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – Carbondale Police have identified a recent murder victim.
Rayshawn Simon, 41, died from a gunshot wound he sustained late Friday night in the 700 block of South Lewis Lane.
Two men face charges in connection to Simon’s death. Dewayne Jones, 37, of Carbondale is charged with murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm, and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. Jeffery Harris, 24, of Carbondale, faces charges of unlawful Use of a weapon by a felon and aggravated battery.
