SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WJPF) — Over the past week 25,636 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the state, with 174 additional deaths. Of those, 500 patients were in the ICU and 253 patients were on ventilators.
Southern Illinois’ test positivity rate continues to the the highest in the state at 10.8%.
About 78% of Illinois adults have received at least one dose of the vaccine. 61% of Illinois adults are fully vaccinated.
