JACKSON COUNTY, IL. (WJPF) – One person is dead after a fiery car crash in Jackson County.
It happened around 2:00 AM Friday on West Road, near Dowell.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, the vehicle was travelling south when it left the road and hit the guardrail of a bridge. The vehicle caught fire. The driver, police say, was trapped inside.
The name of victim is being withheld pending family notification.
