Former gourmet chef, turned rapper, turned television host, New York Rapper Action Bronson released his 5th studio album, White Bronco, over the weekend. The 11-track album features unique cover art, painted by Bronson, and guest appearances from Meyhem Lauren & A$AP Rocky.
Rapping used to be just a hobby for Bronson, while cooking was his passion. It wasn’t until he broke his leg working in a kitchen, that he decided to focus on a rap career.
2011 saw Bronson release his debut album, Dr. Lecter, followed by a collaborative project with producer Statik Selektah called Well Done.
2012 was an equally successful year for Bronson as he released his second mixtape and was signed by Paul Rosenberg to Goliath Artists. Bronson was later moved to Atlantic Records in May of 2013 and released his new project, SAAB Stories, a month later.
Now with Atlantic Records, 2015 saw his major label debut with Mr. Wonderful. The album was dominated by the Mark Ronson produced, Chance The Rapper featuring track “Baby Blue” alongside the singles “Easy Rider” and “Actin Crazy”.
Since then, Bronson signed a television deal with the Viceland Channel which brought his web series “F*** That’s Delicious” to TV as well as “The Untitled Action Bronson Show”.
Bronson has been able to find success through his music and through television while also being to balance the two with steady releases of music and new content for his television shows.
