After releasing his debut studio album, American Teen, in early 2017, Khalid has now released his new EP, Suncity. The 7-track project features the single “Better” and a feature from Empress Of.
Like most young musicians today, Khalid was discovered through the music streaming website Soundcloud.
The 20-year old from Texas first made waves in 2016 with the release of “Location” which peaked at 16 on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts.
2017 was a great year for the young singer. He released his debut album (which was later nominated for a Grammy in 2018), featured on Logic’s mega-hit “1-800-273-8255” and worked with Kendrick Lamar.
2018 has seen Khalid become a consistent hit maker as he has been a part of such hits like “Love Lies” and “Eastside.” He was featured on the Black Panther Soundtrack and worked with Lorde, SZA & Post Malone on Homemade Dynamite.
At the age of 20, with two studio releases under his belt, the Brightside for Khalid is blinding.
