Top 8 Artists Post Malone Should Collab With

In just two years, Post Malone has taken the music world by storm with two massively successful albums and terrific performances across the world.  Over this time, he has worked with some of the best in world including: Kanye West, Justin Bieber, 2 Chainz & G-Eazy to name a few.  After recently turning 23, Malone has already began working on his next album.  With that, I am here to discuss 8 artists that Posty should collab with in the near future and what kind of song they would make.

8.   Future

On his sophomore album, Beerbongs & Bentleys, Malone demonstrated that he can make the transition between trap, radio-friendly and a soft side.  This is also something that Future has demonstrated throughout his career.  If those two were to collab, they could either go in the trap route or make a smooth, melodic R&B type of song.  Oh yeah, Malone also believes that Future is the “Trap Jesus” so there’s that.

7.   DJ Khaled

Over the years, Khaled has done all he can to work with the hottest names in the game and ultimately helping elevate their popularity.  This one would more likely be Post Malone featuring on a DJ Khaled song.  Khaled has produced some darker type of songs like “Never Surrender” and “I Wanna Be With You” while producing some of the summer’s biggest hits.  With the versatility that Malone possesses, he could jump on Khaled’s next smash hit or deliver some vocals to a darker track on Khaled’s future projects.

6.   Machine Gun Kelly

This collab is definitely one of the more likely ones on this list.  Malone and MGK post possess similar talents of playing the guitar, singing, rapping and producing.  A collab between these two could either be a hip-hop ballad like MGK’s “Rehab” or Malone’s “Leave” with the two jamming on guitar and trading verses back and forth.

5.   Mac Miller

This one is already in the mix of sorts, as Miller and Malone said they wanted to work on a collab album.  Miller is still included on this list, however, because there is no guarantee that the album happens.  At the same time, a Malone and Miller collaboration could either go in a fun direction like Mac’s previous work on Blue Slide Park or take the listeners on a trippy, ride talking about the downsides of fan and success.

4.   Rich Brian

I am honestly surprised that these two haven’t put out a song together yet.  It could be because of their busy schedules, but as a fan of both artists, a Brian and Posty collab would be magic for hip-hop fans.  Plus, these two have built a fantastic friendship that went viral as they both surprised each other with elaborate surprise birthday pranks over the years.  A collab between these two would definitely be a club banger.

3.   Travis Scott

3 things: they’re both from Texas, Scott is headlining the inaugural Posty Fest and they are both dominating the Billboard charts with multiple singles.  With that being said, I think a collab between these two is inevitable.  They are both capable of expressing themselves through singing, rapping and dope productions.  A collab between Scott and Malone could be a trap/R&B hit that would certainly dominate the charts and radio airwaves for weeks on months.

2.   Taylor Swift

This one is a bit of a stretch, but bear with me.  Swift has worked with hip-hop artists before, featuring on B.o.B.’s “Both of Us” and having Future on her Reputation album.  On top of that, video surfaced from the 2018 Billboard Music Awards of Swift telling Malone that she was jealous of his hook on “Better Now”.  So what would a collaboration between these two look like?  Well, considering that they have both been through tough break-ups, they would likely make a song about getting over a breakup.  Think “Better Now” meets “…Ready for It”.

1. Drake

Imagine the headlines of Drake and Malone putting out a song together.  These are two of the biggest names in not just hip-hop, but the entire music world.  A collab between Drake and Post would be legendary.  Drake and Malone also possess a very similar skill set with the ability to release R&B tracks like Drake’s “Find Your Love” or Malone’s “Stay” while being able to put out radio hits like “Better Now” and “In My Feelings”.  Both artists have been humble amidst their tremendous success, so a collaboration between these two artists could shed some light on the good things celebrities can do and provide some positive perspective on the rap game.
