The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 43-year-old Carrie Kelley of Sparta. She’s facing several charges, including two counts of theft of property over one million dollars, wire fraud, and multiple counts of filing fraudulent Illinois income tax returns.
Investigators say the case began back in February after reports of possible theft at MedStar Ambulance. According to the sheriff’s office, more than a million dollars was taken over several years while Kelley worked there.
Kelley was arrested without incident and taken to the Randolph County Jail.
