The Trump DOJ is investigating gender ideology in multiple Illinois school districts.
The review will look at whether curriculums include material related to sexual orientation and gender identity in classrooms — parental opt-outs — and whether trans students can participate in competitive sports.
The DOJ did not say what prompted the investigation or when findings will be released.
