WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – One person was killed, another was injured in a single vehicle crash in Williamson County.
It happened Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 57.
Illinois State Police say a northbound pickup ran off the road and crashed into a large tree.
The 73-year-old male driver died at the scene. A 72-year-old female passenger was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive. The names of the victims have not been released.
