Mt. Vernon man arrested for violating order of protection, meth possession

MT. VERNON, Ill. (WJPF) – Breaking an order of protection led to a Mt. Vernon man being arrested on drug charges.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called Monday afternoon to a home at 15462 N. Old Centralia Lane about 22-year-old Aaron Larson, who admitted to deputies that he was not allowed to be on the property.

While Aaron Larson was being taken into custody for violating the order of protection, deputies found him in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Jefferson County Jail.
