SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WJPF) — For the first time in over a year, Illinois reported no new COVID-19 deaths Monday.
The last time that happened was March 16, 2020.
The good news was short-lived however, the Illinois Department of Public Health reported 16 more COVID-19 related deaths on Tuesday.
IDPH reports that almost 72% of Illinois adults have received at least one vaccine dose and more than 56% are fully vaccinated.
