Two arrested after high speed chase

PADUCAH, Ky. (WJPF) — A man and woman have been arrested after a police chase that started in Southern Illinois and end in Kentucky.

The driver, Roger Cummins of Harrisburg, fled from police in Brookport, crossing the bridge into Kentucky at high speed.

In Kentucky, police deflated one of his tires, but that didn’t stop the chase, which made its way to Interstate 24.

Cummins drove off the interstate, down an embankment, and rolled the vehicle.

He was taken into custody on a number of charges including Driving Under the Influence, Driving on a Suspended License, and reckless driving.

His passenger, Kimberly Towns of Ozark, Illinois, had active warrants out of both Illinois and Kentucky.
