A Murphysboro man will spend the next two years in state prison on weapons charges.
Scott Evans, 34, pleaded guilty to the charge of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. Authorities say the weapon was a pair of brass knuckles.
According to the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office, police were searching for Evans on other pending charges when they found him at a home on Julia Lane.
Evans, fled but was eventually found by a Murphysboro Police Officer.
