April 25 is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
The program aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of no longer needed prescription medications. Several events are going on in the southern Illinois area.
In Franklin County, a drive through event will be held at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office from 11am-1pm. Another collection site is the Herrin Walmart. You can stop by there between 10am-2pm.You can also find an event at the Jackson County Health Department in Murphysboro from 8am-12pm.
