Two Hospitalized After Carbondale Stabbing; Suspect in Custody

A Carbondale man is in custody following a stabbing that left two people seriously injured early Saturday morning.

Carbondale Police say officers were called just after 2 a.m. to the 900 block of West Main Street for a fight. Investigators say 46-year-old William Lee got out of a vehicle with a knife and attacked two men following an argument.

Police say Lee left the scene but was quickly located and taken into custody.

Both victims were taken to the hospital. One has been released, and the other is now stable. Lee was also treated for a non-life-threatening injury before being booked into the Jackson County Jail on an aggravated battery charge.
The investigation remains ongoing.
