West Frankfort High School Principal Arrested on Felony Battery Charge

The principal of West Frankfort Community High School has been arrested in Franklin County on a felony charge.

53-year-old Aaron Hill was taken into custody Wednesday on one count of aggravated battery, a Class 3 felony.

West Frankfort Superintendent Matt Donkin says the investigation is connected to an incident that occurred outside of school and does not involve any students in the district.

As first reported Tuesday, Hill has been placed on administrative leave. Court records also show an order of protection was filed against him earlier this month in Franklin County.
