A Dahlgren woman has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting in rural Jefferson County.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says 31-year-old Jasmine Farny was taken into custody Monday night in the murder investigation of 47-year-old James Cross.
Deputies were called early Sunday morning to a parking lot on East Bonnie Road near Belle Rive, where Cross was found dead. Investigators say he had been shot multiple times.
Authorities say Farny and Cross knew each other and had a prior dating relationship. Farny is being held in the Jefferson County Jail pending a pretrial detention hearing on a charge of first-degree murder.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information has been released.
