Authorities in Jefferson County are investigating a homicide after a man was found unresponsive early Sunday morning in Belle Rive.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called just after 7 o’clock to a parking lot on East Bonnie Road. When they arrived, they found 47-year-old James Cross dead at the scene.
The county coroner later determined Cross died from a gunshot wound. The case remains active. Anyone with information is asked to contact Jefferson County Sheriff’s Detective Captain Jeremy Wilton.
