Carbondale police are investigating two separate reports of gunfire in the same neighborhood on December 23.
Officers were first called to the 700 block of West College Street just before 4 p.m. after reports of shots fired. Police say no suspects or property damage were found at that time. A witness reported seeing a man wearing dark clothing and a ski mask running westbound.
Later that night, just before 10 p.m., officers responded to another report of gunfire in the same area. While police were unable to locate the source of the shots, a nearby building was found to have bullet damage.
No injuries were reported in either incident.
Carbondale police are asking anyone with home security or surveillance cameras in the area to review their footage. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Carbondale Police Department.
