Saturday night, the Thrillville Thrillbillies announced their ace pitcher Ryan Daly signed a pro contract with the Joliet Slammers of the Frontier League.
Daly was 3-0 this season with the Thrillbillies. He had 26 strikeouts in 23 innings and an ERA of 0.39 as well as a WHIP of 0.74.
The Joliet Slammers are managed by former Southern Illinois Miners skipper Mike Pinto.
Daly impressed in his pro debut, collecting the win; he tossed five innings and struck out seven. He gave up four runs and one walk.
Daly is the second Thrillbillies player to receive a pro contract.
