EVANSVILLE, Ind. – In the Southern Illinois University softball team’s 11-0 (6) win over Evansville on Friday, senior Emma Austin broke the career stolen base record for SIU.
With no one out in the top of the sixth inning, Austin took off for second and stole her 64th career base, the most in Saluki history.
The stolen base broke a tie with Marta Viefhaus (1998-01) and Jami Koss (1993-96) for the all-time program-lead.
