Stafford comes from Valparaiso but before his time as a Beacon, he was in Southern Illinois’ own backyard at John A. Logan College. He was a key piece of the Vols’ national championship run in the 2022-23 season.
This past season, Stafford was out due to an injury but the year before he played in 29 games and made 28 starts. He put up 19 and 16 against SIU when playing against the Dawgs and averaged 16.9 points in the 2023-24 season.
Stafford received a medical redshirt due to this past season’s injury and is expected to have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
