MT. VERNON – Police were called to the 1100 block of S. 26th St. in Mt. Vernon on Monday for a report of a person being stabbed. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Police said their investigation led to the arrest of 30-year-old Theodore Jefferson. He was booked into the Jefferson County Justice Center on a charge of aggravated domestic battery.
