Carbondale Police have arrested a man in connection with a shots-fired investigation earlier this week.
Officers say they were called around 3:18 Tuesday morning to the 700 block of South Lewis Lane after reports of gunfire. When police arrived, the suspect had already left the area in a vehicle.
Investigators later found evidence that shots had been fired, but no injuries or property damage were reported. Police say the incident appears to have stemmed from a personal dispute.
Authorities identified the suspect as 35-year-old Cordell Taylor of Carbondale. Officers later located Taylor around 6:30 Wednesday evening and took him into custody. A firearm believed to have been used in the incident was also recovered.
Taylor is charged with reckless discharge of a firearm and is being held in the Jackson County Jail. The investigation remains ongoing.
