Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) has dropped the video for “Times of My Life,” recorded with the crew behind his album, Lost Americana. The song is written, produced, and performed by MGK alongside Barker (who drums on the song) and other longtime collaborators and friends SlimXX, BazeXX, Nick Long, and No Love For The Middle Child.
“Times of My Life” dates back to a rough draft composed during the sessions for MGK’s ‘Tickets to My Downfall’ (2020). In a 2020 tweet, mgk said that the song wasn’t included on the track list due to a “similarity” between its original hook and an unnamed Tom Petty song, which the estate of the late Rock & Roll Hall of Famer didn’t clear.
The artist shared in a social media post: “The song ‘times of my life’ that yall leaked years ago, that I played before we went on stage every night on this tour , the “bloody valentine”
Meanwhile, MGK’s Lost American Tour will resume in North America, the EU/UK, and Australia/New Zealand through July. The new leg kicks-off on February 15th in Bologna, Italy, and returns stateside on May 15 in Wheatland, CA, before wrapping July 1st in Ridgefield, WA. Ticket info can be found: HERE.
