Kentucky Man Gets 15 Years for Meth, Gun Charges in Massac County

A Kentucky man has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for drug and gun crimes in Massac County.

James Towery, 45, of Salem, Kentucky, pleaded guilty to possessing meth with intent to distribute and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Authorities say Towery was stopped during a traffic stop on March 11th of last year, and was found with more than 150 grams of meth and a .38 caliber handgun.

State and federal agencies assisted in the investigation.
