Carbondale Police say a teenager has been charged after allegedly threatening someone with a gun early Saturday morning. Officers were called around 2:45 a.m. to the 800 block of East Grand Avenue for a report of an unlawful use of a weapon.
Police found the suspect’s vehicle a short time later and recovered a firearm during a traffic stop. A 17-year-old girl from Carbondale was taken into custody.
She was later released to her family and will appear in court on a charge of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. Her name is not being released because she is a juvenile.
