Frankfort Community Unit School District 168 and the American Federation of Teachers Local 817 have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract.
The joint announcement came late last night from Superintendent Matt Donkin and Union President Tim Aldridge — marking a major step forward after months of negotiations between the district and its educators.
Both sides will now present the tentative deal to their members for review and a vote in the coming days. Details of the agreement haven’t been released yet.
