Carbondale has received a $1,989,063 grant to repave three key roadway corridors without requiring local matching funds.

Carbondale city representatives said this resurfacing initiative aligns with Gov. JB Pritzker’s statewide plan to modernize infrastructure and boost local economies. City officials will update the project timeline as planning progresses with the Illinois Department of Transportation.
