HERRIN, Ill. (WJPF) – A brief standoff in Herrin ended with US Marshals arresting a wanted fugitive.
According to the Herrin Police Department, Michael Sloan was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon after officers raided a home in the 300 block of South 17th Street. Sloan had barricaded himself inside. Nobody got hurt and no shots were fired.
Police have not said what charges Sloan is facing.
