Springfield woman arrested for Carbondale home invasion

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – A Springfield woman has been charged in connection to a violent home invasion in Carbondale.

According to Carbondale Police, at about 6:00 pm Tuesday, Jazlen Bolden, 26, forced her way into a home in the 3100 block of West Sunset Street and physically attacked the person inside. The victim declined medical treatment at the scene.

After a brief scuffle with police officers, Jazlen Bolden was arrested on charges of home invasion, battery, aggravated battery to a police officer, and obstructing identification.

The Jackson County State’s Attorney’s office secured pre-trial detention for Bolden. She’ll appear in court on August 19.
