CREAL SPRINGS, Ill. (WJPF) – Illinois State Police have released the name of the home invasion suspect shot and killed last week by a Williamson County Sheriff’s Deputy.
The deceased has been identified as Jesse Shelton, 43, of Marion.
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says leading up the shooting, Shelton forced his way into two homes and pointed a rifle at deputies. No other injuries were reported.
