Pikaar is a Netherlands native but went to Sunrise Christian Academy prior to committing to St. Louis University in Spring 2024. He isn’t the only Sunrise Christian Academy graduate – freshman guard Jalen Haynes is coming to SIU from the Kansas institution as well.
Pikaar saw limited time in 26 games at SLU during the 2024-25 season, averaging just 5.5 minutes. He averaged 0.9 points, 1.0 rebound, 0.3 assists, 0.4 blocks, and shot 47.4% from the field.
Pikaar brings the total number of players on the 2025-26 roster to 13. His signing is a big boost to the team’s front court – prior to signing, SIU only had four players standing at 6’9 or above.
