Medical emergency likely cause of school bus crash

CREAL SPRINGS, Ill. (WJPF) – No major injuries were reported after the driver of a school bus suffered a medical emergency while behind the wheel and crashed into a tree.

It happened around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday on Sulpher Springs Road in rural Creal Springs.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says five kids from Adams School were onboard at the time. One was taken to a hospital out of an abundance of caution. The bus driver was also hospitalized.
