After Week 2 of the high school basketball season, a pair of unranked teams rose in to the Top 10, one team tumbled from the top to near the bottom, and the South Seven reigns supreme at the top of the heap.
The Centralia Orphans remain the #1 team in Southern Illinois after a pair of dominant wins got them to 8-0 on the season last week.
Carterville and Murphysboro both provided the area with exciting wins in the SIRR Ohio Division. The Lions stunned Herrin 48-44 on Friday night while Murphysboro put together a dominant 70-58 win over Massac County the same night. Those losses caused the Tigers to tumble from #2 to #9 while the Patriots went from #9 to unranked.
