Du Quoin pair arrested in connection to Carbondale shooting

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – Two Du Quoin residents have been charged in connection to a shooting that happened this summer in Carbondale.

Police say Blake Morrison, 18, pulled the trigger in the early morning hours of July 29 in the 700 block of East Grand Avenue. Morrison and the victim knew each other.  The victim survived their injuries.

Blake Morrison was arrested Friday at a home in Du Quoin on charges of attempted murder, aggravated battery with a firearm, and aggravated discharge of a firearm.  Also arrested Friday was Chloe McGrew, 19. She was taken to jail for aiding or concealing a fugitive.
