CARBONDALE, Ill. – Elite 17 winner Ethan Senti was named the 2023 Missouri Valley Conference Men’s Cross Country Scholar Athlete of the year, the conference announced Wednesday.
Senti currently has a 3.9 in Architectural studies at Southern Illinois University. Senti finished first in the men’s 8K at the 2023 Missouri Valley Conference Cross Country Championships, at Percy Warner Park in Nashville, Tenn with a time of 24:24.9.
Scholar-Athlete Honors require athletes to meet the following criteria which is in alignment with the College Sport Communicators (CSC) standards. Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
The Salukis also had Ellie Hall named to the 2023 Cross Country Scholar-Athlete Team. Hall has a 3.75 in Exercise Science.
