Benton man accused of sex crimes against children, animals

BENTON, Ill. (WJPF) – The Illinois Attorney General’s Office has brought charges against a Franklin County man, accusing him of sex crimes against children and animals.

Austin Lee, 29, of Benton, is facing 10 counts of possession of child pornography and 5 counts of sexual contact/conduct with an animal.  All together, the charges carry a penalty of up to 85 years in prison.

At the time of his arrest on October 31, Austin Lee was already facing separate child pornography charges at the federal level. His next court appearance for the state charges will be on the November 15.
