John A. Logan forward Justin Cross announced Thursday that he is joining the Kansas Jayhawks next season.  Cross will be a walk-on with the Jayhawks.

This past season, Cross averaged 2.8 points and 4.4 rebounds coming off the bench for the Vols and helped the program claim it’s first-ever NJCAA national championship.

“We’re excited to have Justin here,” Kansas coach Bill Self told The Kansas Star last week. “He’ll be great in practice and provide some more height to allow us to have more competitive practices and more depth in practice.’

At the national tournament, Cross grabbed 11 offensive rebounds for the Vols for an average 2.75 offensive boards per game in Hutchison, Kansas coming off the bench.

Cross also started three games for the Vols early in the 2022-23 season.
