MT. VERNON, Ill. (WJPF) – Police in Mt. Vernon have issued a warning about a popular toy gun.
Gel Blaster guns, often sold under the brand name Orbeez, shoot a small liquid projectile that burst on contact. They’re battery powered, usually harmless and marketed towards kids.
However, Mt. Vernon Police say if the toys are being used to threaten others or damage property, it will be taken seriously and felony charges of aggravated battery could be filed along with the toy gun being confiscated.
