SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WJPF) – The number of COVID-19 cases reported in the state was up again last week.
On Friday, IDPH reported 30,633 new cases and 46 additional deaths. 14 northeastern and central Illinois counties are now rated at medium risk for transmission of the virus. Transmission risk in southern Illinois remains low.
The preliminary seven-day statewide case rate is 240 COVID-19 cases per 100,000 Illinoisans.
