A Saline County homicide suspect made his first appearance in court Wednesday.
Alexander McWilliams, aka William, has been charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of Mishealia Meredith on March 13. He was arrested last week in Morganfield, Ky., following a standoff with police.
A judge set the bond for McWilliams at $1 million. He will be back in court on April 22 for a preliminary hearing.
If found guilty, McWilliams faces a sentence of 25 years to life in prison.
