Protest held in Carbondale over presidential election

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — A number of groups, including a local chapter of The Democratic Socialists of America, protested the results of the presidential election in downtown Carbondale Wednesday evening.

A flyer that circulated before the event said the protest would be held no matter who won the presidential election with the goal of continuing the fight for democracy and justice.

Protestors met at the Carbondale Pavilion and marched to the Federal Building a few blocks away.
