SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WJPF) — Five new cases of COVID-19 were reported in southern Illinois Thursday.
Jackson County reported three cases. Williamson County reported two cases. And one case was reported in White County.
No new deaths have been reported in the area.
Statewide, the Illinois Department of Public Health announced 894 new cases of COVID-19, including 41 additional deaths.
The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total test from June 18–June 24 is 3%.
